Hay RackOur hay is stored in the Hay Loft above the stables. The stable ceiling has holes which go into the loft so that hay can be dropped down into the hay racks for the horses to eat. In the old days the horsemen could feed the horses without having to go into the stable. There is even a passage from the Head Horseman's house into the loft so that he could feed them at night. |

The hay racks are too high for the donkeys so we don't use them these days. |
