Hay Loft

This is where the hay is stored.
The grass to make the hay is cut in the summer as soon as we get good weather.
It is turned over to dry it thoroughly then baled and the bales are stacked here to finish "making".

The donkeys eat the hay through the winter when the grass is not growing because it is cold and the days are short.

The donkeys eat about 2 bales a day.You can see it's now mid-winter as there is still plenty left.
