Every stall in the stables has a pair of hooks.
When the stables were used for coach horses this
is where the harness was hung up when the horses were resting.

The pad and chains were hung on one side.
The collar was hung on the other side. Every horse had his own collar and his collar was hung by his stall to make sure it didn't get mixed up with someone else's.
This was to make sure the collars fitted properly and did not make the horses sore.
