Brick Drain
Along the centre of the stable is a double row of flat bricks which form a gutter. Our stable has proper drains under it and when the stable floor is washed down the bricks guide the water into the drains.
The drains join Clovelly's sewers and the water goes on down into our new sewage treatment plant. Built in 2007 the new plant is a great improvement upon discharging the sewage straight into the sea !
